Claire Alexander, a junior new to OVS this year, is the only girl on the school's 13-player flag football team, mixing it up in a sport usually dominated by the boys.
Last week, the girl's volleyball teams competed in three heated matches against Thacher School, Oak Grove School, and Garden Street Academy, scoring their first wins of the season.
The OVS cross country team competed in their first meet of the season at the Cate School last Wednesday, the girl's team finishing first in the Condor league.
