As OVS welcomes the students back to the second semester after a three-week break, the winter sports season has jumped back into full swing. Boys basketball, boys soccer, and girls soccer all brought home wins this past week.
Since the 1960s, the Condor League has been home to a handful of small private schools from Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. However, change is right around the corner, and that change is coming from Ojai Valley School.
World record holding weightlifter Dave Andrews is the new boys soccer coach this winter season. Having grown up playing soccer and developing a knowledge of the game, Andrews is leading the team towards a season of success.
Former OVS student and current nurse Paloma Sandoval has begun her first season as the Upper girls soccer team. She hopes to build the program, strengthen the team, and help her players cultivate a deep understanding and love for the sport.
Both the boys soccer and boys basketball teams opened the winter season with games throughout the week. The soccer team took home a win, and the basketball team showed impressive skills.
