Twice since the start of the school year, Assistant Head of Upper Campus Crystal Davis has led a small group of students in making sack lunches for Ojai’s unhoused community members.
More than 100 OVS middle school and high school students turned out Wednesday to help restore habitat in what was called the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy called its largest-effort volunteer event.

Last weekend, Ojai Valley School lower campus hosted the “Coexisting With Wildlife in the Ojai Valley” event, in which wildlife experts promoted peaceful coexistence with and respect for their animal neighbors. The panel was dedicated to addressing public concerns, and the organizers felt equally as grateful for their engaged and receptive audience.
Starting at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, wind-driven snow flurries began whipping through the Upper Campus, sparking surprise and delight for a student and teacher population unaccustomed to such an uncommon weather occurrence.
