The return of winter sports season has generated a buzz of excitement around campus.
Practices are underway for both the boys and girls basketball and soccer teams.
The OVS cross country team capped off its Cinderella season by running the CIF prelims at Mt. San Antonio College, competing against 91 runners from schools across the region on a grueling hot day.
For the first time in OVS history, the girls volleyball team competed in CIF playoffs. Led by coaches Soren Stewart and Micah Sittig, the Spuds were dominant on the court this year, finishing the regular season with an impressive 7-3 record, riding a five-game winning streak to close the year.
The last time there was a full fall sports season there were no mask mandates, no quarantines, no lockdowns, and no Coronavirus. The return of fall sports brings a sense of hope to the return of normal at the Upper Campus.
