OVS boys volleyball has been electric recently after beating Newbury Park Adventist Academy, their streak rises to four wins in a row!
It was their first home game and they showed out in front of our supporters winning the game three sets to zero after losing to Newbury Park last year.
Junior Ben Manning showed his hitting ability throughout the match by smashing the ball over the net plenty of times.
“My favorite part about the hit is the moment before I hit it when I know it’s going to be an absolute rocket,” says Ben. He played a big role in the win yesterday.
Another person who had an impact on the game was senior Caleb Carver who flourished on the defensive end with his multiple blocks throughout the game.
“It feels good because it shows how far we’ve come as a team,” said Senior and Team Captain on the team Eugene Fisher. “We had a rough start to the season however we’ve stepped up and really put it together.”
The boys record is now 4-2, their next game will be a battle against the top-ranked school in our league. OVS will take on Pilgrim at home on April 17th.
