OVS girls basketball won its first game of the season defeating Thacher’s junior varsity team by a score of 28-18.
The team was led by junior Donahi Soriano who scored 26 of the 28 points.
The Spuds played solid defense for long stretches of the game, and worked hard to compete down the stretch.
Many of the OVS girls had never played in a basketball game before, which clearly did not affect the score.
Senior Hannah Little had never played a sports game in her life. She made the only other point besides Donahi.
“I had a lot of fun playing my first game,” Hannah said. “I honestly didn’t know if it was going to happen in my high school career.”
