As OVS welcomes the students back to the second semester after a three-week break, the winter sports season has jumped back into full swing. Boys basketball, boys soccer, and girls soccer all brought home wins this past week.
Former OVS student and current nurse Paloma Sandoval has begun her first season as the Upper girls soccer team. She hopes to build the program, strengthen the team, and help her players cultivate a deep understanding and love for the sport.
New boys basketball coach Matt Murphy has loved the sport since 1992, and is now bringing his passion and dedication to this winter season at Upper Campus.
The fall season is in full swing as OVS sports teams completed a busy and successful week with the girls volleyball team winning both of their games against Besant Hill, and cross country bringing home a plethora of personal records.
OVS runners and throwers brought home nearly a dozen medals this past week at the school’s first Omega League Final track meet with two athletes earning spots in CIF Prelims at Carpinteria High this Saturday.
