For the first time in recent memory, Ojai Valley School is granting senior privileges at the beginning of the school year in an effort to push the seniors to embrace more responsibility to gain more freedom.
As graduation season nears, high school seniors across the country -- including a handful at Ojai Valley School -- are giving a creative twist to a long-standing tradition.
A brand-new belonging space has opened in the mezzanine, offering students a welcoming environment to relax, connect, and find support. The project, fully funded by the Parent Club, aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for all students to build a sense of community within the school.
In response to the wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles, OVS students on both campuses have decided to contribute their share to the national response.
Last summer, senior and Prefect Rory Liu had the idea to start a peer tutoring program during nighttime study hall. Currently, six students are in the library every Wednesday night, prepared to help their peers.
