Each school year, exceptional and talented individuals attend Ojai Valley School. Among these include three new and outstanding students; Emma Watanabe, Jean-Michel Lin-Hurtubise, and Alana Mollison.
Members of the Class of 2020 from states across the country have come together in a social media driven initiative to unite seniors that have lost the final parts of their high school career to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When the school announced that students would have to return home in order to reduce the spread of the virus, several Lower Campus families realized that some students would be unable to return home indefinitely, so they offered to have those students stay in their homes with them as long as they needed.
Like most members of the Class of 2020, there's plenty about Morgan Drier's future that is uncertain given the current COVID-19 crisis. But with a scholarship offer at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a dream of riding in the Olympics, she knows exactly where she's headed and how she sees her future playing out.
When coronavirus was still isolated to one country, when there were still no confirmed cases in the United States, when no schools had closed down, and when we still met for milk and crackers in the amphitheater, Tanishia Brown was preparing. Ms. Brown, the Nurse Administrator at Ojai Valley School, works hard to remain OVS’s most knowledgeable resource on the virus.
