For the second straight year, the OVS journalism crew take top honors in a Tri-County competition. Four student journalists then go on to win top awards at the Ventura County Star's annual journalism competition. Among those awards, OVS earned third place in the sweepstakes category for overall excellence in high school journalism at the Tri-County Journalism Educators' Association competition.
Editor in Chief Emmy Addison wins 2nd Place in the News Writing Category at the Tri Country Journalism Educators Association Competition last week at California Lutheran University.
