After suffering its only loss in Omega League play, OVS boys soccer bounced back harder than ever, defeating Pilgrim 4-1 at home last week.
As it got later and darker it was looking as if the game would be called off and canceled, however, Pilgrim showed up just in time.

The game kicked off and the ball went back in forth for a while until the ball entered the box at the feet of senior Hyunung Choi. The goalie fouled him, and Choi was awarded the penalty kick, making the score 1-0.
As the game went on, senior Eugene Fisher hit an absolutely great goal from far outside the box, sending the ball into the top corner of the net, and sinking the Pilgrim Ship.
“It felt good,” Eugene said about winning the game.

Another game that happened last week was the OVS girls basketball non-league game against Villanova.
Although they suffered a defeat, the OVS girls did a great job of shutting down their
offense and holding Villanova to only 11 points in the second half.
“We’ve improved a lot from last year,” said junior Elizabeth Ramsay. “I’m excited for the future.”
Finally last week, the OVS boys basketball team beat Pilgrim by a score of 64-27.
“Playing a team like Pilgrim gave our younger guys a chance to compete and gain experience,” said senior Ethan Chen.
