They battled erosion on Santa Cruz Island, purged invasive ice plant near UC Santa Barbara, and began the delicate work of restoring milkweed habitat for Monarch butterflies at the Upper Campus.
On Monday’s Day of Service to commemorate the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Ojai Valley School students from the Upper and Lower campuses fanned out on five service trips designed to better their communities and their environment.
In addition to projects listed above, OVS students removed weeds and trimmed back brush at the Ojai Meadows Preserve and provided care for native plants at Cluff Vista Park.
