The Ojai Valley School Flag football team had its first game of the season against Gorman Learning Center, losing a tight contest 18-12. Each player poured their heart out on the field and showed hard work and determination.
The quarterback of the team, Archer Moller, gave a few shout-outs to his teammates, Renji Hanai, Ray Hsu, and Harry Ying, who all had interceptions. Ana Sofia Samano Suarez, the only girl on the team, had three sacks, and Renji had two touchdowns, one rushing and one passing.
“We all played hard, it was a first good game, and we were ready for more,” Archer said.
OVS football plays its next game against Beacon Hill on Sept. 16 at home.
