After finally completing all 18 of his college applications, senior Sebastian Wayman-Dalo describes the process from start to finish, and offers his advice to the junior class members who are just beginning this lengthy journey.
This year’s seniors sent out more than 400 applications and received nearly 160 acceptances. They earned entrance to top-notch small private liberal arts schools such as Vassar, Skidmore and Reed, and big public universities such as LSU, UC Berkeley and the University of Washington.
On May 31, 31 seniors will graduate and leave OVS and everything they’ve grown to love about the school. Eight of those seniors will say goodbye to the equestrian program and the horses they’ve developed a bond with over their years here.
As the year wraps up, OVS seniors are preparing for their college departures; for some, making the decision on where to attend next year was a no-brainer, and for others, it was near-impossible.
