The day students of the 2019-2020 school year are making history. The number of day students at Ojai Valley School hit a whopping 48 this year, the highest the population has ever been at Upper Campus.
Thanks to senior Megan Manion, there is a new sport offering for students at OVS: yoga. During sports time, students learn about meditation, breathing techniques, and more.
Ryan Pearman looks only a couple years older than a high school kid. And this year he is in high school. But as a teacher, not as a student. Mr. Pearman is one of this year’s newest members of the OVS faculty, teaching several classes in addition to helping with athletics and coaching baseball.
Continuing their winning streak from last year’s championship season, the OVS girls' cross country team put on a dominating performance to win their league opener Wednesday at Dunn School.
The girls volleyball team opened up the season with 3-0 win over Santa Clarita Valley International in a game this past Wednesday, and concluded the week with a tough contest against Garden Street Academy.
The number of girls on the flag football team has doubled since last year - to two. Senior Claire Alexander and freshman Genesis Langdell are participating in the male-dominated sport of football and changing the idea of coeducational sports for the school community.
