The boys' and girls' cross country teams are rounding into peak shape at just the right time, as they near the end of the season. Several turned in personal best performances this week at Besant Hill.
Through the generosity of Ojai Valley School's Faculty Enrichment Grant, history teacher Fred Alvarez was able to compete in the 120th running of the Boston Marathon.
Coach Fred Alvarez ran cross country for four years in high school, but was never fast enough to make it to CIF. His girls' team, however, fulfilled that dream this past weekend.
