Tuesdays Are Dog Days

This year, the Humane Society of Ventura County has 18 OVS students who have already done their training and have a one-year commitment to the program. This is the highest number of OVS volunteers in the past 10 years, and two vans will be taking students to the shelter every Tuesday.

Jack’s Return

For the years that Mr. Floyd lived with his family on campus, pet cat Jack was like an honorary mascot for the Upper Campus. But when the Thomas Fire hit in 2017, the Floyds were relocated, and Jack left campus - until recently.

Jack the Cat

The Floyd's cat, Jack, has incorporated himself into OVS life, being an honorary student and cared deeply for by the student body and faculty.

Puppy Love

Each week, OVS students venture to the Humane Society shelter in Ojai to take part in one of the school's longest-running community service projects.
