Recently, a new poem appeared on the outdoor board, a compilation of six languages constructed to form a poem that painted the Central California coastline.
In his first year as OVS Upper Headmaster, Craig Floyd has had a lot to deal with, including losing a portion of his beloved school to the Thomas Fire, a school that has played an important role in his life since high school.
After the Thomas Fire broke out on Dec. 4, countless students were evacuated from the Upper Campus, but along with them went the equine residents of the campus, which were moved multiple times during the weeks of the fire.
During the first community service opportunity of the school year, OVS students of all ages embarked on a beach cleanup trip. The outing allowed students to help local wildlife while also learning the importance of taking care of the environment.
