Tuesdays Are Dog Days

This year, the Humane Society of Ventura County has 18 OVS students who have already done their training and have a one-year commitment to the program. This is the highest number of OVS volunteers in the past 10 years, and two vans will be taking students to the shelter every Tuesday.

Crossword Craze

This year, a crowd of crossword devotees has sprouted at the Upper Campus, with some becoming so obsessed with the puzzles that they do them anywhere and everywhere they can. At any given time, you’ll find these crossword fanatics scribbling away, attempting to solve the complex clues.

The Condor’s Final Flight

Since the 1960s, the Condor League has been home to a handful of small private schools from Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. However, change is right around the corner, and that change is coming from Ojai Valley School. 

Purging Plastics

For the past 10 years, OVS alum Jen Muller has been showing her family alternatives to plastic. With help from her children -- OVS senior Corbin and OVS sophomore Paige -- the Muller household has reduced their plastic usage to the bare minimum.
