Weekly Sports Recap

The OVS sports teams had a busy week with two volleyball games, against Midland and Oak Grove, and the first cross-country meet of the season in a non-league competition with the Omega League. 

Fierce Females Join Flag Football

The number of girls on the flag football team has doubled since last year - to two. Senior Claire Alexander and freshman Genesis Langdell are participating in the male-dominated sport of football and changing the idea of coeducational sports for the school community. 

For Love of the Game

OVS alum Roger Wang was a standout tennis player and student at the Upper Campus in the late 1980s and early 90s. Recently, he returned to the Upper Campus tennis courts to watch his sons compete in the sport he loves.

Track Wins Big

OVS runners and throwers brought home nearly a dozen medals this past week at the school’s first Omega League Final track meet with two athletes earning spots in CIF Prelims at Carpinteria High this Saturday.

OVS Baseball Earns CIF Bid

For the first time in recent memory, the OVS baseball team earned a post-season CIF bid and will play Marshall Fundamental School on May 2 at home. The Spuds finished second in the Omega League with an 8-2 league record, and a 10-6 record overall.
