In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, one crucial aspect of many people's lives is being greatly affected: sports. From amateurs to professionals, athletes have had their passions put on hold. Hear from three high school seniors whose last varsity seasons have been called off.

OVS eGames

In an effort to brighten spirits and heighten a sense of community, the OVS Student Council and members of the community have begun hosting various online activities for students to participate in together while they are unable to meet in person. The events so far have included group trivia games, online drawing competitions, and more.

New Swimmers Take Their Mark

For the first time in OVS history, there is now a competitive swim team offered as a spring sport. Rallied together by junior Bella Slosberg and coached by Matt Olexiewicz, seven girls can be seen starting their workouts before the sun comes up.

Baseball is Back!

The OVS baseball team opened its season this week with two non-league contests, dropping a competitive game to Nordhoff High School before posting a convincing win against Cate School.

Triple Threat

Junior Bella Slosberg is not only an impressive student at the Ojai Valley School, but she is also a star athlete in the swimming, running, and biking realms - or in other terms, a triathlete. And, she has recently qualified for the Toyota USA Triathlon National Age Group Championships.
