Honesty Boxes of Ojai

In a town famous for its citrus, many residents of Ojai have come up with a creative solution for their excess produce: honesty boxes. Scattered throughout various neighborhoods, streets and orchards, these fruit stands function on the honor system, relying on the integrity of their customers to leave the right amount of money for whatever produce they take.

Track Wins Big

OVS runners and throwers brought home nearly a dozen medals this past week at the school’s first Omega League Final track meet with two athletes earning spots in CIF Prelims at Carpinteria High this Saturday.

OVS Baseball Earns CIF Bid

For the first time in recent memory, the OVS baseball team earned a post-season CIF bid and will play Marshall Fundamental School on May 2 at home. The Spuds finished second in the Omega League with an 8-2 league record, and a 10-6 record overall.

Love is in the Air

Over the years, at least 21 OVS alumni couples have tied the knot. Though some only met for the first time at alumni events or didn’t even begin a romantic relationship until they were out of school, they eventually found themselves together at the altar.

Started as a joke between a couple of students, the day student parking formations have already gained school-wide attention.

Soaring Like An Eagle

OVS junior Aaron Wolf recently organized 40 Boy Scouts, students and faculty members to help him complete his Eagle Scout project at the Upper Campus. With a little help from his friends, Aaron rebuilt a portion of fence at Upper destroyed by the Thomas Fire.
