In a town famous for its citrus, many residents of Ojai have come up with a creative solution for their excess produce: honesty boxes. Scattered throughout various neighborhoods, streets and orchards, these fruit stands function on the honor system, relying on the integrity of their customers to leave the right amount of money for whatever produce they take.
OVS runners and throwers brought home nearly a dozen medals this past week at the school’s first Omega League Final track meet with two athletes earning spots in CIF Prelims at Carpinteria High this Saturday.
For the first time in recent memory, the OVS baseball team earned a post-season CIF bid and will play Marshall Fundamental School on May 2 at home. The Spuds finished second in the Omega League with an 8-2 league record, and a 10-6 record overall.
